The International Dental Show (IDS), the world trade fair for the dental industry, will take place in Cologne from March 25 to 29, 2025, and KaVo will once again be a part of it this year. Under the motto “The Elements of Excellence”, the Biberach-based dental company will be presenting a veritable firework display of new product highlights. Experience KaVo up close in a unique atmosphere in Hall 1 at Stand A20.
IDS is the leading global trade fair and international meeting place for the dental trade, dental industry and dental professionals.
The International Dental Show takes place every two years and will provide forward-looking impulses on the latest technologies and developments.
KaVo Dental will be represented alongside Planmeca on a stand measuring over 500 m2 in Hall 1. Since 2022, KaVo has been part of the Finnish Planmeca Group, the largest privately owned dental company.

KaVo Dental announces its participation in the International Dental Show (IDS) from 14 to 18 March 2023 in Cologne/Germany. IDS is the leading global trade show and at the same time the international industry meeting place for the dental trade, dental industry and dental professionals.
IDS takes place every two years, in 2023 already for the 40th time. At the same time, the trade show will celebrate its 100th anniversary since its founding in 1923. As usual, it will provide forward-looking impulses, inform about the latest technologies and developments from the market, and at the same time be a meeting place for dental industry professionals from all over the world.
It goes without saying that KaVo Dental will also be present at IDS in March 2023. Since January 2022, the company with headquarters in Biberach, Southern Germany, has been part of the Finnish family-owned company Planmeca, making it the largest privately owned dental company. As part of Planmeca - strengthened by the shared values of an agile family business - a new era begins for KaVo Dental. Investment, innovation and a clear and unwavering commitment to quality and customer proximity are the essential building blocks of KaVo Dental's new corporate direction.
The sister companies KaVo Dental and Planmeca will present themselves side by side for the first time at IDS 2023. However, both brands will continue to operate independently and retain their character. KaVo Dental will present itself more impressively than ever with a variety of exciting new products and innovations.
For the first time, visitors will find the KaVo Dental booth in the new, very modern hall 1. The single-story hall 1 boasts a ceiling height of a full 11 meters, which means significantly more room height compared to other exhibition halls and thus ensures improved acoustics and better room air. For KaVo Dental, this was exactly the right place to present itself as strengthened traditional company, complete with innovative new products.
"We are very much looking forward to participating in IDS in Cologne in March 2023. After the Covid pandemic, we are looking forward to good discussions with dentists, dental technicians, universities and dealer partners from all over the world. We are especially eager to show what KaVo stands for and what the common strengths of KaVo and Planmeca are. On the product side, our visitors can also look forward to exciting news.
