SONICflex prep gold / ceram / CAD/CAM / crown Tips for prosthetics for adhesive inlays and onlays.

The problem

Ideally, approximal adhesive inlays and onlays fit exactly into the cavity: with different bevel angles and edges, harmonious transitions, no undercuts. Practically this is extremely difficult to achieve. Rotating instruments often give rise to the opposite: irregular shapes and edges and hence a poor basis for the dental technician, unnecessarily large extensions.

The solution

KaVo SONICflex prep ceram permits perfect finishing and exactly defined cavities through precise transfer of the geometry of the tips directly to the tooth substance. With tips specially developed for adhesive inlays and onlays.

SONICflex prep = Tips for defined approximal finishing for adhesive inlays and onlays

Features

  • No damage to adjacent teeth
  • Precise transmission of the tip's geometry to the marginal cavity angles
    - no undesired undercutting
    - specific achievement of the bevel angles
    - harmonious transitions between cervical and lateral edge areas
    - marginal areas and preparation surfaces are smooth and free from defects
  • Improve dental restoration by optimisation of cavity form
  • Suitable for all fully ceramic, or finegrain, hybrid composites (e.g. CEREC®*, EMPRESS®**, TARGIS VECTRIS®**, ...)
  • Reproducibility of treatment results
  • Reduction of treatment stress in critical processes
  • Reduction of the "skill-dependency" of complex preparatory work, due to ease of operation
  • Reduction of duration of preparatory work
  • Conservation of healthy tooth tissue

Inserting SONICflex tips

The working end to be used is screwed onto the SONICflex handpiece with the supplied torque wrench until you feel it snap into place. The working tip is now secured in the handpiece.

If the SONICflex handpiece is to remain on the treatment unit with the tip attached, we recommend leaving the supplied screw-in aid attached so that there is no risk of injury from the working tip.
