  • External rinsing fluids can be used

Tips for minimally invasive periodontic therapy. Effective removal of subgingival stains and tartar on implants.

The problem

Complete removal of subgingival plaque is essential for the success of periodontal treatments. However, conventional instruments do not reach all bacteria management areas. This is frequently unsatisfactory.

The solution

The KaVo SONICflex paro tips (0571 0371) for minimally invasive cleaning of the periodontal pockets. The gentle and efficient treatment ensures a favourable prognosis for restoration of an inflammation-free periodontal region. With these tips, teeth are preserved for longer:

  • Rounded, extended tips: straight, angled to the left, angled to the right.

Features

  • Applications in initial and supporting periodontitis therapy
  • Significantly reduced workload for dentists and dental hygienists due to machine instrumentation
  • Minimal expenditure on equipment and mechanical handpiece components that have proven their performance over many years
  • Fully rounded working ends for efficient plaque and tartar removal in pockets up to a depth of 9 mm
  • The delicate tips facilitate cleaning of hard-to-reach areas like furcations
  • Only two working ends are needed to reach all subgingival areas
  • External cooling liquid can be supplied if required, but no additional purchase of rinsing or abrasive agents is necessary
  • Simple, cost-effective addition to the set of instruments with the SONICflex rootplaner tips for use in periodontal surgery
  • Superb access even to hard-to-reach areas
  • Excellent access even to poorly accessible areas, through ultra fine tips
  • Straight tips for the anterior tooth region and on lateral surfaces, angled tips in the molar region and in the interdental space
  • Efficient removal of deposits: Simple and effective removal of pathogenic plaque and endotoxins from periodontal pockets up to 9 mm deep
  • Effective against bacteria: Through uniform transmission of the sound frequency, their cell structure is destroyed
  • Protection of the tissue: Tip movements at sound frequency do not affect adjacent collagenous soft tissue and the root surface
  • Periodontal bacteria: These are washed out with a constant amount of cooling water ( spray water or sterile saline solution or drug-containing liquids). Detached plaque is reliably removed and deposition of further plaque with periodontal bacteria is reduced
  • Disinfection: Drug-containing liquids may be introduced
  • Accelerated healing process and substantial improvement in the soft tissue attachment
  • High success rate in treatment of periodontitis by the closed method.

Inserting SONICflex tips

The working end to be used is screwed onto the SONICflex handpiece with the supplied torque wrench until you feel it snap into place. The working tip is now secured in the handpiece.

If the SONICflex handpiece is to remain on the treatment unit with the tip attached, we recommend leaving the supplied screw-in aid attached so that there is no risk of injury from the working tip.
