Tips for minimally invasive, axial retrograde preparation, filling of the root canal and preparation of undercuts
The problem
The retrograde root canal treatment: limited space, restricted lateral access. Bone substance has to be protected and the stability of the tooth preserved. Rotating instruments sometimes produce the opposite effect: large bone windows, more difficult axial preparation of the canal.
The solution
The KaVo SONICflex retro system (0.571.0381) permits gentle and efficient sound-based retrograde root canal treatment with contra-angle diamond-coated tips:
- Isthmus (left and right).

Einsetzen der SONICflex Spitzen
Das jeweils zu verwendende Arbeitsende wird mit dem mitgelieferten Drehmomentschlüssel auf das SONICflex Handstück aufgeschraubt, bis ein deutliches Einrasten spürbar ist. Die Arbeitsspitze ist so zuverlässig im Handstück gesichert.
Sollte das SONICflex Handstück mit aufgesetzter Spitze an der Behandlungseinheit verbleiben, so empfiehlt es sich, die mitgelieferte Einschraubhilfe aufgesteckt zu lassen, so daß vom Arbeitsende keine Verletzungsgefahr ausgeht.
